Reflection

You did it! You are infinitely smarter now than when we first met 180+ days ago. You persevered through a rigorous trial but you still have challenges ahead. Hopefully now you can answer the question we asked at the beginning of the year (Why are you here?). For our final blog post I want you to consider each of the following and write a few sentences about each.
  1. Reflect back on your first year and share a moment or two that you remember most fondly
  2. What was your most difficult challenge
  3. and finally, share with us what your plans are for the summer
It was a pleasure working with you all and I will miss you. Good luck on your finals!

  1. I remember coming into class and watching the videos that our class groups did and it was hilarious. I would definitely like to watch them again because it was fun. I did not face any challenges since I came half-way through the year. In the summer I am going to hang out with my friends. We are going to have sleepovers and we are traveling out of the country together. Moreover, this school year was fun and I have learned a lot in this class.

  2. My first year was a good first year of high school and felt pretty good. The work load was not surprising to me and I was definitely used to it but it was still a difficult challenge. This summer I will be traveling to see family members in Italy, France, and Switzerland. I will also be going up to the Hamptons to go to the beach, surf, horseback, etcetera.

  3. My first day at St. Saviour was trilling. I was scared of what was to come, whether I was going to make new friends, enjoy it, or even make it through. Something I remember the most was song contest and the stress of trying to remember the dances, songs, and trying to balance all of this along with studying and doing schoolwork. My most difficult challenge was adjusting to new teachers and the environment, having to get use to how they make their test and teach in general and getting use to remembering where each classroom was while trying to get to class on time. My plans for the summer is working for the first time as a camp counselor for 6 weeks and hopefully for on many small trips.

  4. My first year of high school is coming to an end. It was a wonderful and stressful experience. A moment that I remember was walking through the Saviour doors on the first day wondering if I would like it. (I do like it.) The most difficult challenge was realizing that I wasn't in middle school and my grades actually mattered more. This summer i'm going to Trinidad and England. While i'm in America, I plan to hang out with my friends and family.

  5. When I first walked in as a freshmen here I remember meeting so many girls and before we had the big meeting we all sat together and we were trying to figure out how to unlock a lock. It was so much fun for all of us trying to unlock the lock. Another moment that I remember the most was when some of us were in Ms.Clary's room playing some games. When we were playing the games we were able to remember each other's names. One of my most difficult challenges was trying to find different ways to study for midterms and finals so that way I can pass those test. My plans for over the summer are going to Florida for a bowling tournament and to participate in golf tournaments.

  6. This school year has been very short and went by so fast. I remember the first day of school when I came in crying while everyone stared at me , I was honestly so scared to start a new school after going to the same school for 10 years. My most difficult challenge was playing volleyball i didnt learn how to play decently until towards the ending of the season. My plans for the summer is to start working and have alot of fun . I really want to enjoy my summer

  7. When I first, came to this school I thought it would be easy. I thought I didn't have to put any effort. However, some subjects started to get harder for me. I realized that I needed to do better, so I could make myself better. From this day I'm stilling struggling, although I'm doing much better. For this summer I'm going to be volunteering at different places and working on being better in all my subjects.

  8. I love freshman year a lot, but if I had to only pick two moments I would pick Song Contest night and getting out of school early because the cafeteria was flooded. My most difficult challenge at school is to study efficiently. This summer I'm going to hang out with friends, go to the pool, and go on trips with my family.

  9. When I went for my first day of St. Saviour, I had think I wasn't going to like and that nobody would be my friend. I was scared because my old school experience was kind of harsh and I was I wouldn't be able to trust anybody. But now I have amazing friends who are there for me and I am there for them. The moment I had liked was when we had short days of school. Difficult challenge: was keeping and getting my grades up. My plans for the summer is going to Trinidad, and hanging out with my friends.

  11. The first day of St. Saviour was not bad at all but, a little bit awkward because none of us knew each other. As the days, then weeks and months went by I wasn't scared or nervous anymore because I have gotten to meet all my classmates which are all friends now and we are closer than ever. My classmates of mine are literary family to me and I love them so much. During my freshman school year, my favorite memory was color wars. It was amazing to see the whole school together playing different games and getting a little bit competitive. A difficult challenge I had was keeping up with my school work but, I will get better at it. I don't know what I'm going to do over the summer. I will maybe get a job.

  14. My first year in St Saviour was difficult, trying to find my place with the right crowd, focusing on school work and trying to balance an outside life. My most difficult is most definitely algebra class. My plans for the summer include hanging out with my friends.

  15. The first year was amazing but hard. I met so many new people and created so many friendships. The most difficult part was the work load and focusing on studying for every class. I learned to ask questions if I do not understand something.

  16. When I walked in Saint Saviour for my first time I was extremely nervous. When I had switched schools before I never had to go in for a buddy day I just came in the day the school opened. So this process was extremely new to me. My most difficult challenge this year was learning how to balance my classes and turn in work on time. Although, right now I have no specific plans for the summer I know that my mom will enroll me into some summer activity, camp etc due to her lack of belief in "summer vacation."
